So many marketers are running around trying to build a list of subscribers that they can (hopefully) make money from. But there’s one huge flaw in that strategy. The flaw is that they’re trying to build a list of subscribers instead of building a list of buyers. You see, it’s great to have lots of people on your list, but only if they spend money on the products you promote.

Here’s a quick story to illustrate what I mean:

Years ago I was doing some search engine optimization for one of my niche sites, and I came across a keyword that had very little competition, and yet got searched thousands of times per month.

I optimized one of my landing pages to rank high for that keyword, and put up a squeeze page in order to capture names and email addresses. Luckily, I tracked the results that came from that page, and what I found shocked me.

None of these people bought anything from me. I couldn’t figure out why. So I decided to search the keyword myself and see what else was out there. What did I find? A whole bunch of sites offering free information related to my keyword. Nobody was actually selling anything. I found out why at Get More Buyers Scam.

In other words, I was adding a bunch of freebie seekers to my list! These were people who never had any intention of buying anything. They were searching for free information, and they had no proven history of whipping out their credit cards and buying products.

What about you? Are you focusing too much attention on getting freebie seekers to subscribe to your newsletter? If you are, then you’re leaving a LOT of money on the table, because you’re focusing on the wrong thing. You need to focus on getting BUYERS to your list, not freebie-seeking subscribers.

How to do you get more buyers? Find out at Get More Buyers for your Online Business.

You might be wondering how you can add buyers to your list if nobody is actually buying anything from you yet. Believe it or not, you can actually build a list of buyers faster by having OTHER PEOPLE build the list for you.

Does that sound impossible? It’s not. I actually discovered a simple strategy that gets my competitors to build my list for me instead of me doing all the work myself. This one strategy has added over 200,000 buyers to my list, and it keeps growing every day.

If you are just starting out, then you need to learn how to create a list of buyers right away. This one distinction will be the most important thing you learn in your marketing career, and will give you the power to produce the kind of paydays that you’ve always dreamed of.

If you are doing any business online, a list of subscribers who will buy from you is the key to your success. You have to know how to keep your subscribers happy and provide invaluable information that they can rely on. To learn more about how you can build your list and get more buyers, go to Get More Buyers for your Subscriber List.

How To Get More Leads With A Squeeze Page

by Tricia on November 5, 2008

Squeeze pages, sometimes also known as lead generator pages, are one of the basics on an internet marketer's arsenal.

Squeeze pages are very, very single minded pages. Their aim is to get someone to sign up to your email list. After that, you can market to them to your heart's content. But you need them to sign up to your list first!

First up, choose a template for your squeeze page. You can find landing page templates for free or for a small charge. Or you can have one designed specially for you. If you choose the free option, make sure your target market is well away from such well trodden areas as internet marketing, weight loss and (weird as it may sound) dog training. If you don't do this, there's a high chance that your potential customer will have encountered a near-identical squeeze page so many times before, they're bored with it. Which means they'll be more likely to click away.

Then change your template. As a minimum, you will need to add in a headline relevant to your offer and some "selly" bullet points. You may also want to split test your headlines to make sure that you’re getting the maximum number of sign-ups. Some people report results in the order of 70% and more sign-ups from their squeeze pages.

You can also test other elements on your lead generation page. Most of the time, people report that they get better results when they add audio messages to their squeeze pages. Test this as well as whether the message plays automatically when a visitor reaches your squeeze page.

Nowadays, video is being used more and more on squeeze pages. Many marketers have found that using a "part one" video on their squeeze page with "part two" only available after sign-up is a very effective technique. If you want to take this path, make sure you leave your readers with a "cliff hanger" at the end of part one. Just like the ones they used to have om Saturday mornings at the movies. Or if you're too young for that, think of any episode of the television series "24". Leave your viewer hungry for more. Which you'll let them have - once they've confirmed their email address.

You can get your squeeze pages designed at the click of a button with this simple lead page generator.

What Makes a Good Article?

by Tricia on November 5, 2008

We all know the raw power and efficiency of online marketing through article publication.  We can even claim without blinking that marketing with articles is the most powerful and least risky internet marketing technique that has been conceptualized since the creation of the digital realm.

To put it simply, if you own an internet venture, you have to exploit marketing with articles.

Despite this maxim, one of the most common questions I get is this: how does one prepare a good article?

This reveals that even if most online businessmen realize that they have to utilize article marketing, not all of them are capable enough to write an internet-ready piece of informative work.

Therefore, I have prepared some easy to follow steps on how you can write the most suitable good article for internet advertising purposes.

  1. Determine the topic you want to write about.

  2. Don’t try to tackle a broad topic.  Break it down to a more specific subject that people will be fascinated with.  Just to illustrate, don’t settle for the broad subject of “dogs.”  Try to determine a sub-topic that will win the imagination of the market you will be aiming for.  As is often the case, this sub-topic pertains to a particular demand, like “dog training” for people who are having problems with their unruly pets, or “dog grooming” for clealiness compulsive dog owners who can’t survive the smell of their untidy canine friends.  You have to unearth a sub-topic that will make people take notice.  This is critical.  Most articles fail because they don’t serve a more tangible matter.
  3. Since the sub-topic should reflect a need, your article must be able to provide a remedy.  However, depending on the usage of your article, the remedy you will share will vary.  For example, if you’re going to use the article to market a product, then hold back on the answer you will provide.  Your aim, in such a case, is to give the impression that you are an expert in the field, and compel your readers to consider what you have to offer.  Do not forget this as you craft your piece.
  4. Come up with an attention grabbing title that is immediately understandable but nevertheless exciting.  People will visit your article if they will like its title.  If not, no one will view what you have prepared.
  5. Do not forget that every article has 3 basic components: the introduction, the body, and the conclusion.  The introduction will inform the readers what your article is all about.  You can inform them of a surprising fact, a gut-wrenching statistic, or a witty anecdote to jolt your audience into realizing that indeed, you are the a true expert in the field.  The body will discuss the message you wish to convey, naturally.  And the ending will review the problem, the given solution, as well as interject some calls to action (i.e. click my link) if needed.
  6. How long should your article be? I’d say that 300 to 750 words would be perfect!

These are just some basic tips for article writing.  It is not hard to write a good article all it takes is some planning and some thought.  With practice you will find it gets a lot easier.  For more tips on writing a good article and other ways you can increase your website traffic go to Marketeermum.
