Pros and Cons of Using Adsense

People that have had a website for awhile and are getting some hits on it but not really making any money, may want to consider using AdSense advertising.

We will look at some of the pro’s and con’s to this type of approach to advertising on the internet. AdSense has definitely hit the Internet like something from another planet and people are very excited about it everywhere. However, there are some negative points to consider about using Adsense.

If you are a webmaster, AdSense is a generally a great tool for you to use. Whereas, they would use to worry about how to raise enough money to keep their sites profitable, or at least keep them on-line, so those worries are gone.

AdSense allows webmasters to forget about those worries and concentrate on creating good content for their sites. The emphasis for them is on high quality articles that are associated with keywords or keyword phrases that will untimely help increase your website traffic.

You can also, work with Adsense to better customize your website color theme, size and article placement, and this will allow you to come up with the best format that you like, plus it will help to increase your profits.

People appreciate the way AdSense works to bring in a consistence source of income to your site. All you need to do is create some quality content and keep it updated constantly, then you can literally live off your website. More and more people are using AdSense now and it is becoming more of a business within it’s self.

With this program you can use the same account to advertise all your different pages without duplicate effort. This is great for webmasters wit a lot of content because it means they don’t have to create many accounts unnecessarily.

Remember as we previously mentioned, there are some trouble spots with advertising with AdSense that we should look at too.

The main negative aspect that you should be most concerned about is if Google closes your Adsense account. Most of the time this happens because of so called “click fraud”, which means somebody would be producing artificial clicks on your page.

The big downfall of this is that it could be anyone doing these artificial clicks, not just the page owner.

It could very well be your competition doing this in order to shut you down, or the competitor of whoever is advertising on your page, looking to drive their marketing costs up.

The money people generally make on Adsense is not very consistent. For many it is very sporadic at times. You could end up having to pay a great deal of money, if you make a mistake and don’t know what you are doing. This type of negative pressure can effect you and impact your business.

First of all, you constantly need to make sure your site is in the spotlight of search engines when people are searching for whatever it is your site is about.

If you fail to do that, you won’t have any visitors, and that of course means you won’t have any AdSense revenue.

Finally, another major problem is that you constantly have to feed your site with better and better content. Now, of course, certain sites are very well geared towards doing this but with some types of content this is rather hard to achieve. This is often why the services of a copywriter are employed to generate more and more content.

When writing original content, the best thing a website owner can do is research a topic thoroughly and then return to writing with lots of information, that they can use in their own words, and show their own opinion on.

As you can see there are both pros and cons in using Google AdSense to make a profit with advertising. Each person must decide for themselves if this is something that will work for their internet business or not.

Making Money From Content Rich Sites

Content Rich Websites Will Make You Money

Making money from a content rich, niche marketing website can be very easy, very difficult, but not impossible. First let’s define and describe what a content rich niche market website is and how it works. There is not a list for just ’Niche Markets’ anywhere.

A person will find niche marketers when he types words into his favorite search engine and hits the ’enter’ key. Let’s say you type in “Improving my golf score”. You will get many hits that will provide links that take you to niche marketing sites. On these sites, you may be asked to enter a email address and opt-in to receiving a newsletter. Since the need is to learn how to improve a golf score, they willingly sign up. While at the content rich site there will be articles and additional information on how to improve a golf score and some ads for products you can purchase that are designed to help you with it too. In the future you will receive a newsletter, usually about every two weeks and you will have become a niche market customer.

Fortunately, if you are the niche marketer, the email address provided is worth its weight in gold because you will have a new or potentially new customer. When he buys the products and/or services that you are advertising on your site, you will make money. Having a content rich site enhances the possibility of sales.

The trick to making money from a content rich, niche marketing website, is to have a topic that helps people solve their problems, makes them feel or look better, or supplies them with information that they need. You will need to have related products and services advertised on your site since that is where the income will actually come from. The website content is what makes people visit your site again and again and even stay on it longer. The more content rich it is will determine how often they visit and how long they stay. The longer they stay the more opportunities you have for making money online with your website.

How to Create Your Own Blog Account

Compared to building a website, creating your own blog is something relatively easy to do. Building even a simple website such as WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get), still involves a number of things such as, designing your page, purchasing a domain, hosting it and then work on ways to upload your information to your site. This is not so with a blog. You can make your own personal blog account on one of the large networks for free and you will not have to be concerned about learning how to upload any news pages to it.

Do you already know how to set up your own personal blog account? First, you should start by selecting the type of blog you wish to create. For instance, are you using blogs to promote your business or to chronicle your daily life? This will affect how you go about creating your own blog account.

If you’re using a blog to chronicle your daily life, you may want to create an account with a network such as Myspace. If you’re creating your own blog account to promote your business, you may want to open an account with Google Blogger, especially if you do not own a website. After you create your own account, Google Blogger will provide you a template that you can customize, as well as, allow you to make a subdomain title from which you will display your blog. If you’re trying to target a specific keyphrase with your blog, you may want to use that exact keyphrase as the subdomain.

Once you have completed this process, you will want to spend some time searching through the many Blogger various options that are available. Finally, to get the most out of blog building, you will need to think about the types of posts you want to display on your pages and if you want to allow comments or not, as this will help you have a great new blog that you can be proud of.
