First, the commenting systems people use on wordpress blogs. I think I would use disqus and commentluv (don't know about Lucia’s Linky Luv). I think also great is the popular post widget (does this count as a plugin?), which on blogger is more difficult to get (I wrote one in python which exports javascript which I then import in blogger). On blogger I find related posts and recent comments essential, which you can get with javascript (so that's not wordpress only).
