Well I’m finally getting around to updating all of my Wordpress blogs to the latest version of Wordpress. It’s about time isn’t it?

I decided to start with this blog because well … it’s pretty much empty so I didn’t have much to lose if something went drastically wrong. I used my C-panel Fantastico section to update this blog, but about half of my blogs have been manually updated the last few times so I can’t use Fantastico to update them. It’s going to have to be manual … or maybe I’ll try the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin … maybe.

If you use Wordpress for your blog have you upgraded to the latest version? If you haven’t, you really should try to stay up to date. Whenever a new version comes out (of any kind of software) it’s usually to fix bugs and close security holes and occasionally adds new functionality.

I know, who am I to preach when I’m in the midst of updating all of my sites, right? Well my reason is that I was waiting for the new versions of Wordpress to be stable and pretty much bug free. I think Wp 2.6.2 should be pretty much bug free. I hope so anyway .. and most of the plugins I use should work with it now too.
