Publish That Ebook!

by Tricia on October 3, 2009

Virtually anybody can be a writer so long as they can remained focused and know how to type. Ebooks are sweeping the nation, and are usually cheaper then buying a real book. A regular computer book might go for $75 while an ebook with the same information can be $25. Does the money sound good to you? Well, if so, write your own Ebook! If you are interested in earning a good amount of money on the internet, marketing ebooks is not a bad way to go.

How to start off and write your Ebook

1)  Revisit your old grammar days. Brush up on your sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation skills. Even if that means doing some research online so that you can write properly. It helps to read as much as possible and to see how others write. It can give you options, and let you see into the eyes of other writers.

2) Create an outline. This is one of the most effective ways to see what you’re going to write and edit it. Creating an outline is what every rich author has done in their past. It is a sure fire way to write a great book and has been proven time and again.

3) Consider doing more research on your chosen topic, even if you think you already know everything.  It never hurts to know more then you already did, in actuality it will just give you more life knowledge. Surely you’ve heard, knowledge is power?

4) Decide on a price. A lot of people want to charge outrageous prices for only a few tips and tricks. They might make a few sales, but not many. Try offering more information but at a lower price. Sure, the profit per sale is lower, but there will be more buyers! More buyers on a lower price is better then few buyers on a more expensive price. You need to be sure you put as much valuable information in you ebook as you possibly can. If you make the purchase worth your reader’s time, he or she will be more likely turn to you for more information in the future.

5) Write the Ebook. While you are doing the writing it may be a good idea to also start incorporating so photos too. It is also a good idea to cite resources, which gives your content more value. Customers want to feel like you got ripped off, not them. So while writing your Ebook, put a lot of effort into it, as well as make sure that it makes sense! Don’t trail off topic as your writing. People are not impressed by it. It will definitely give you bad reviews.

6) Get another opinion. After you are done writing your ebook it may be a good idea to get some sleep. The next day or two days later, go and edit it. If you do it as soon as you are done with the writing, you will likely end up missing many errors. It is also not a bad idea to get a professional to help you edit and make any necessary revisions. While your content is indeed very important, how it is written is almost as important as what is written. If your readers are unable to follow, or the book doesn’t flow well, it’s kind of a waste of your time.

Web designing using principles of design

by Tricia on September 21, 2009

The principles of web design are applicable in every field of designing whether it is for web design or any other form of designing. They lay more emphasis on placing the design elements in an effective manner. The principles will help you achieve the results that area more pleasing.

* Balancement might be defined as the accurate placement of the light and the heavy elements on the page. The balance principle helps us to achieve the results that help us to design the layout that works better. It might b be described as the actual interpretation of the gravity in the design or it is the distribution of the elements in the design. Another way in which you can achieve balancing is asymmetrical balance wherein consider for instance you are intending to place the heavier element in front of the center line then you need to place the heavier element somewhere far off from the centerline. The balance designs can be controlled in 3 main ways : Symmetrical balance means placing the elements in an even fashion incase you are placing heavy elements on the left side then similarly you would place the heavier elements on the right hand side. The next criteria which you need to consider is the off balance style, in this form the design is totally unbalance. In case your website has content which is intending peoples to think then it is important to note that you can go in for the discordant or the off balance style.

* Contrast: Contrast may be defined as the difference between the similar element, further it is not applicable only to color consider that there are number of lines and one of the line is longer than the other, then there is presence of contrast in this scenario. So it is important to note that incase you are applying contrast in web designs then you do think beyond color. You can use contrast by showing differences in the font size and font family. Headlines are more contrasting in nature than the surrounding text. Links also provide contrast, like the underlining and color of the link content provides room for contrast.

* Emphasis is the focal point which is provided to some content. A good web designer will determine the hierarchy to the content. This is a way to determine the elements which are much more important than others. Emphasis in the design can be implemented by the semantic mark up, fonts and the color.

* Rhythm: Rhythm is also defined as repetition. Rhythm brings in internal consistency to the website. Repetition is a good way to attract people’s attention and instigates. Probably you can repeat the headlines a number of times to generate greater emphasis. It can also be implemented by repeating the text in HTML, insert images a number of times, repeat the navigation elements in all the pages.

* Unity: Unity may be defined as proximity or in other words it is the principle of keeping the similar elements together and keeping the different elements apart. Unity can be achieved thouth putting in your layout.

3 Important Tips To SEO Your Blog

by Tricia on September 16, 2009

If you’re a blogger, chances are you’re not getting the all important search engine traffic you could. Don’t worry, most other bloggers don’t either because they have no clue as to how to go about optimizing their blogs. Failing to bring in targeted traffic is one reason many bloggers stop trying to make money with affiliate programs and find the next scheme to jump into.

If they only understood how easy it was, they might have a chance. It can be done in 3 easy steps. By following these easy steps, you can increase visitors and make the difference in a blog that creates the owner very little income or a blog that creates wealth for the Blogger.

Follow this advice to optimize every blog post you upload and take advantage of free Internet search engine traffic.

For starters, you should make sure your blog post addresses are optimized for the search engines. With many free blog services like BlogSpot, this is automatically done for you. If you’re a WordPress user, then set your url structure so that blog creates SEO friendly url’s when you create a post.

The way you do this in WordPress is go to the Permalinks tab, and check the button next to the Custom field. Next you’ll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. {Immediately after the words postname, Now} put another percentage sign. Now all your blog post will have SEO friendly addresses.

The next tip on optimizing your blog is to put your main keywords in the Title. This is very important. For example, if you’re blogging about ways to earn extra cash, then make sure these keywords are in the Title of your blog. Don’t put something like Johns Blog. If your name is John and you have a blog named Johns Dog Blog, then you’ll rank higher than if you name the blog something that does not tell the search engine what your blogs about.

Your next step is to use your keywords in your Post’s title. If you’re trying to lure traffic to read your post about online auctions to earn money, then your post title should have those keywords in it. Not irrelevant keywords like How I Make Money With Auctions. If you do this, the search engines will have trouble determining what your post is about and you can forget about getting free traffic. This is especially important if you’re trying to make money with Adsense.

These three tips will be letting the Search Engines understand what your post is about. By taking a little extra time and making it easy for the search engines to determine what your post and blog are about, they’ll rank your blog higher than a non-optimized blog.

Building links to each of your optimized post is the last step in dominating the search engine rankings with your blog post. But alas, there isn’t enough room here to go ito the details of link building. Learn how to optimize your blog and blog post first before taking on link building.
